SATISFIED I agree with “Satisfied Viewer” of Scargill. There certainly are many dissatisfied viewers. I suppose it appears that way, because one never hears from those who are satisfied with the marvellous efforts of the N.Z.B.C. They certainly have their work cut out for them. Isn’t it a shame when people become so obsessed with their TV that they continually complain? It’s not too much effort to turn the set off and natter to your spouse or read a book. What did they do before TV took posession of their beings?—NO COMPLAINTS (Rolleston). Braille Week
Braille Week, the annual appeal of the New Zealand Foundation for the Blind, begins on Sunday and ends with a household envelope collection the following Saturday. By no means the least effective method of reminding the public of the everyday problems faced by blind people throughout New Zealand—and there are thousands of them—is a documentary film, prepared by an Auckland firm, titled “Life Without Sight.” This will be screened from all channels on Thursday, July 23, about 6.25 p.m.
