Williams, wife of the Australian judge. Miss Grant manages the Mangatoro herd, built up by her father, Mr Donald Grant, into one of New Zealand’s top Angus studs. Mr Grant and his daughter together won many leading awards for their cattle, which have had considerable influence on Angus herds in New Zealand and Australia. Some have also been exported to the United States. Elomest 23rd of Mangatoro (in the photograph) won the yearling championship as well as the supreme championship. Another of Miss Grant’s entries, Prince 16th of Mangatoro, was the reserve champion yearling at the show.
