BAHA’I AND U.N.E.S.C.O.

The Baha’i International Community, whose New Zealand office is in Auckland, has recently obtained consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council

For more than 20 years the Baha’i Community has sent accredited representatives to the United Nations Organisation, and Baha'is throughout the world have supported the ideals of world unity and the achievement of peace for which the organisation stands. The Baha’i International Community received recognition previously by U.N.E.S.C.O. for its work in educating people in all parts of the world towards a better understanding of the ideals of the United Nations.
