Anderson, leadbFW the salvage team, said in an Interview yesterday. The salvage vessel Holmpark returned to its moorings last week after ad absence of two weeks and a half. Captain Anderson said it was hoped to refloat the cutdown forward section of the Wahipe, but a lot depended on bow' badly damaged this was. If foam and compressed air were used, the operation would start later this year. The stern half, which contains the engine room and which righted itself after the vessel broke In twe, is showing no signs of sand build-up and is not settling in the seabed. Although the entire stern part will have to be cut up Captain ' Anderson considers this will be the easiest-part of. the job. . He said salvage qf the wreck depended on the weather and • what • further deterioration might set in. It would be at least the end of 1971 befofe the final traces were removed from the harbour. ■ ■ • <
