Respirators On Holmlea
Respirators were used on board the inter-island roll-on vessel Holmlea at Lyttelton yesterday morning when watersiders unloaded a leaking drum of formaldehyde from a container.
It appeared that the drum fractured when cargo in the container slipped out of alignment. Difficulty in opening the Holmlea’s stern door caused an hour's delay in cargo handling yesterday morning. The trouble was thought to be due to an electrical fault.
