MEDICAL SCHOOL

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 14. The Government has approved a grant of $450,000 to plan, equip, and build extensions to the clinical building at the University of Auckland Medical School. The Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys) announcing this in Parliament, said that the 12,000 sq. ft of planned extensions would bring the size of the clinical building, now under construction, to 150,000 sq. ft It would cater for 110 graduate students a year. The Minister said that the Medical Schools in Auckland and Otago would have a total graduate output of just under 300 by 1980, and more than 330 by 1985.
