FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—The cool, unsettled southwesterly airstream will continue to cover the country today. Forecast: Canterbury and Marlborough.—South or south-west winds, fresh in exposed coastal places; showery about the coast, but partly cloudly with only a few scattered showers inland; rather cold. Outlook: southerlies decreasing slowly. Nelson, Buller and Westland. —Moderate or fresh winds between south and east; showery periods, especially about the high country; otherwise partly cloudy and cool. Outlook: mainly fair.
