British P.N.s For £2
British postal notes for £2 are now available at the Post Office. The Chief Postmaster (Mr M. T. Reedy), said the notes could be bought at the rate of . one per person per l day. 84 money orders for transmission to Australia and Canada were also available. British Postal notes are not negotiable in Australia and Canada.
Mr Reedy said that, so far there had not been a great demand for the new notes, which had been authorised in the last Budget.
