FIRST HARRIER WIN.—Aggressive running by the Canterbury 800-1500 metres track champion, M. Clarkson (Methodist), gained him his first major harrier win in the five miles and a half Jane Patterson Trophy race at Motukarara on Saturday. Clarkson is shown leading his team mate, D. F. Dixey, with about a mile and a half to go. Well clear of the rest of the field, they battled for the lead until Clarkson broke away in the final sprint.
