BOATING The popularity of yachting and boating in New Zealand is such as to suggest that “The Boat Owner’s Maintenance Manual,” by Jeff Toghill (A. H. and A. W. Reed), will command a ready sale, notwithstanding its substantial cost—nearly $B. The author was a navigating officer at sea for 10 years. He left England 10 years ago to establish a school of sailing and navi- j gation in Sydney, and he now heads a business which ' covers all aspects of yacht ■ and motor yacht activities. It is a massive book—3oB pages—and extremely de-
tailed, covering all aspects of maintenance and repair work on just about every sort of boat There are hundreds of illustrations—diagrams and photographs. It is a very finely-produced volume, designed principally to assist those who hope to keep their boat costs down. It should have a wide and appreciative readership.
