(N.Z.P.A -Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, July 9. Britain’s former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Roy Jenkins, has been elected deputy leader of the Opposition Labour Party. Mr Jenkins replaces Mr George Brown, who lost his seat in Parliament in last month’s General Election. Mr Jenkins received 133 votes, compared with 67 for the left-winger, Mr Michael Foot, and 48 for Mr Fred Peart, the former Labour leader in the House of Commons.
