Girl Guides To Go Overseas

1970 is the diamond jubilee of the international girl guide movement. Two Christchurch young women will go to Canada and Japan to World Association girl guide and girl scout conferences. Miss Jane Nichols, a guider lieutenant from the 82nd Westholm Company, leaves for Canada on August 12 to attend a jubilee gathering at Vancouver, and later at Banff. Miss Pat McGarva, who is the captain of the 3rd North Canterbury Ranger Guide Service Unit will leave New Zealand on July 22 to attend a conference in Osaka, Japan.
