Underground Chaos
The London Underground, one of the world’s busiest networks of it kind, was plunged into chaos last night, when a power failure halted most services at the peak of the rush-hour. Thousands of passengers were confined to trains for almost an hour while electricians worked to repair a faulty cable.—London. July 7.
