REMARKS ON DISPUTE

Comments on the shipping .dispute during a discussion by members at the council meeting of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association were wrongly attributed to Mr R. G. Pearce in the report in “The Press” yesterday. It was Mr W. I. Wood, not Mr R. G. Pearce, who said that some union leaders needed re-education and that their thinking was “idiot logic.” The error 15 regretted.
