CATCHWORD As you say, it is a pity there have been so many mistakes in “Catchword” but in spite of them, I think it is tops. It is something everybody can enter into as a general knowledge test. It is good and relaxing. I do hope it is continued. Perhaps we should not be so critical until it has had a fair run. The idea is excellent, and original. IN SUPPORT OF CATCHWORD, Nelson. NIGHT SKY For your young correspondent who recently complained about “Night Sky” being screened late on Sunday nights: he should watch just before 6 p.m. next Friday. “Night Sky” is always repeated at this time, in place of “The frying Nun,” on the Friday after the Sunday night screening. From a purely selfish point of view, did the N.Z.B.C. have to show the new science-fiction programme "Journey to the Unknown” at the same time on Thursday nights as radio’s most popular feature “The Archers” ? Perhaps I am one of the few who like both science-fiction and programmes such as “The Archers” and their television counterpart “Coronation Street.” But I do know there will be many who share my other disappointment that “Run For Your Life" is on the afternoon programme, and not at night. And what about Sherlock Holmes? Isn’t he a bit gruesome for eight o’clock viewing? MERE WOMAN, Temuka. LETTERS Readers are reminded that letters to “Points of Viewing” should be addressed to “The Press,” Box 1005, Christchurch and not sent to the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation.
