BALLINS IN MERGER
Expansion In ' Agencies Ballins Industries, Ltd, the largest hotel owning company in the South Island, continues to consolidate its nation-wide interests. A merger in their mutual interests had just been completed by Ballins Industries, Ltd, and Fletcher, Humphreys and Company, Ltd, also of Christchurch, with C. G. Macindoe Pty, Ltd, Auckland, wine and spirits merchants and indentors. The new company, with Ballins and Fletcher, Humphreys holding a minority I interest, has been formed to I join forces with the wine and' spirit section of C. G. Macindoe and the company will ini future trade as C. G. Macin-i doe Wines and Spirits, Ltd. |
The announcement said that C. G. Macindoe Wines and Spirits, Ltd, with its existing management and staff will continue to trade on a national basis. As a result : of the merger it will have much closer ties with the licensed industry.
