Gift Made To Symphonia The Symphonia of Auckland has been given $lO,OOO in trust to start an endowment fund for the orchestra when it achieves professional status within a year. The gift was made by Mr ;L. D. Nathan, an Auckland ; businessman and president of i the Symphonia of Auckland ! Foundation. It will cost $160,000 to set |up the symphonia as a professional orchestra. The Symphonia. the Queen Elizabeth Arts Council and the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation will each find $40,000 of this sum.
