Aid For Peru Further gifts of money for aid to Peru had brought the amount received from the Christchurch area to $3205.69. the secretary-manager of the North Canterbury centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society (Mr R. J. Lipscombe) said yesterday. Among contributors have been students, school pupils, churches, staffs of various organisations including hospitals. Churchill Trust The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust had to limit the number of awards and make bigger grants last year because of increased living and travel costs, according to its annual report tabled in Parliament yesterday afternoon by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath). Thirteen awards, worth $28,250, were granted, compared with 19 totalling $28,450 in 1968, the chairman (Sir Thaddeus McCarthy) reported.—(P.A.).
