| Pay Rise (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24. Members of the North Island Electrical Workers (Radio Section) Union employed as designers have; gained a $13.61 a week in- j crease to a minimum award] rate of $60.11. The increase is one of a number gained as an interim measure in negotiations which ended earlier this week. The increases have still to be ratified by all 43 parties to the proposed award. Increases of up to 29.5 per cent were gained, giving radio and television servicemen a new minimum rate of $1.37.5c an hour. Males employed in radio and television manufacture gained a 15.3 per cent increase to a new weekly wage of $4O and females gained 18.1 per cent to a new weekly] wage of $3O. Factory servicemen gained 29.5 per cent, giving them a new weekly wage of $55. Negotiations on an interim ■ (North Island award come| (after the signing of the award! last December and a success-! ful claim for an interim] award for South Island members about two months ago.
