The Ceylon Government, in a sharp swing away from the West, announced today that it would recognise North Vietnam, North Korea, East Germany and the Viet Cong’s provisional Revolutionary Government. It also said it would suspend relations with Israel until the Jewish State withdraws from territory occupied during the June, 1967 war. The Government has heen in power for two weeks.
