(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, June 10.

Five hundred copies of a petition calling ,on the Federation of Labour to return to democratic procedure on issues of national importance have been circulated among trade unionists and businesses in the Auckland area. A further 500, addressed both to the F.O.L. and to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, will be sent to every trade union office in New Zealand.

The organiser of the petition, Mr B. R. Delamore. a member of the Northern Drivers’ Union, said the F.O.L. had made policy statements on issues such as the All Black tour, claiming it represented the views of its members, without taking a vote on the issue.

The group circulating the petition is known as the Dci mocratic Association of Trade i Unionists.
