FIRST LEG OF ONCOURSE DOUBLE (T.A.B. closes 10.20 a.m.) 11.30 a.m.— PUKEURI HACK HURDLE $550; 15m. TAB.

FANCIED RUNNERS ARLEIGH: Third at two of last four starts. Lost his rider at Dunedin at last start. Not the worst. GOLDEN PROMISE: Won first start over hurdles at Amberley last month. Only start since was second to Little Johnny at Riccarton. Did not jump as well at Riccarton but hard to beat. SAND DUNE: Would need to improve on two recent outings. SUPERSPAN: Won at Beaumont in early April but has failed badly since. HADLOW: Second to San Leonardo at Marlborough in April. Fifth to Golden Promise at Amberley at last start. FLOWING GOLD: Form is not good. BEN AVON: Never likely in two starts on the flat. JOE DOE: Does not appeal here. HALIRON: Good fourth at Riccarton before fifth at Waimate at last start. Outside chance. WENEW: No appeal.

RESTRICT: Fourth to Gay Rosa at Waimate and a fifth at Dunedin give him a chance here. VODKA LAD: Ran on well for third to I Spy at Riccarton on May 19. Would* need to improve only a little to be in this.

BIG FELLOW: Would need to improve on recent racing. CENTRAL LIGHT: Third to Lady Venture at Dunedin meeting was best run for a while. DOUG'S GENERAL: Has done nothing to impress since winning at Wyndham last November. DAWN BELLE: Not fancied. FIND IT: Ran a couple of fair races recently but would have to improve.
