1956, and the Water Supply Act 1908, and subsequent amendments, the Paparua County Council at a Special Meeting held on Tuesday, June 2, 1970, resolved by way of Special Orders to amend the Council By-laws as follows: 1 STOCK WATER CHARGES The Schedule of Annual Charges for the supply of stock water race water as set out in Paparua By-law No. 18, 1955 arid No. 25, 1958 is hereby amended by substituting an increase of 35 per cent in place of the 30 per cent prescribed in By-law No. 77, 1969 in relation to all charges other than for irrigation purposes. NOTE: Charges for water for irrigation purposes are not subject to this amendment. 2 HIGH PRESSURE WATER SUP PLY CHARGES (Paparua Sec tion Only). The Schedule of Annual Charges for the supply of High Pressure Water as fixed by the Paparua County By-law No. 35. 1961. and amended by the Paparua County By-laws No. 40, 1962. No. 44, 1963, No. 50. 1964 and No. 44, 1965. is hereby revoked and the following substituted: (1) Houses, shops or commercial premises connected to unmetered supply. $ll.

(2) Houses, shops or commercial premises or vacant residential sections—Not connected. $5.50. (3) Industrial Premises—(connected for Industrial or Domestic Water Supply)— (a) $1.40 per thousand of Capital Value of property. (b) 4.6 c per thousand gal lons of water used up to amount of Item (a). (c) 9.2 c per thousand gallons beyond this figure. (4) Industrial Premises or Industrial Land (Not connected)— (a) $1.40 per thousand of Capital Value of property. (Charges entitles industry to a sprinkler system connection for Fire Protection purposes). (5) Houses with adjoining Racing Stables or Commercial Fowlhouses, Butchers’ Shops, Fish Shops and other premises with metered supply of water—Charges as per item 3 (Industrial Premises). Provided that in no case the charge shall be less than $5.50Copies of the Special Orders are deposited in the Council Chambers, Sockburn and are open for inspection by the public during office hours until July 6, 1970, when the Special Orders will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers at 7.30 p.m. on that day.
