P. Wylie and G Lomax will] be the jumpers most favoured I Ito win the trophy, especially] lin the absence of M Camp-- ] bell, who has won it several ] times in the past. Wylie is] Canterbury’s most expert-1 enced competitor and helped begin the sport in the rovince 15 years ago. The 20 competitors will be required to jump from a Cessna aircraft at about 3300 ft after which they will delay pulling the rip-cord for 3 to 8 seconds and then attempt to manoeuvre as close as possible to the target. Each competitor has three chances to get within striking distance of the target which has a centre spot of 10' centimetres in area. An ac-| curate jump will earn a maxi- { mum 100 points, while for I every 10 centimetres away i from the centre, a point is] deducted.
