Nelson NONEVERO (Race •> b g, Syrs, by Fallacy—Winona, trained by S. M. Miller, Methven. Fought on for close second to Black Label at Ashburton last Saturday, and on Monday was far from disgraced when seventh to Boy Friend in Queen's Birthday Stakes Drop in class in this field should help him to win. Auckland SUNSEEKER (Race 2) b g. 7vrs, by Blueskin ll—Gay Wren, trained by D. J. O'Sullivan. Matamata. Failed to last two miles and a half when favourite in the Great Northern Hurdles on the first day of the meeting. Still performed soundly to finish fourth, however. With onlj' 11b more he should be a much stronger proposition over tomorrow's distance.— Auckland correspondent, Manawatu BLACK CHARM (Race 6) blk m, syrs, by Alcimedes—Tellus. trained by L. Bunn, Takanini. A very honest middle-distance mare which ran two sound races at Wanganui. After receiving a hindered run on the first day she headed the rest home behind Fans on the second day. With Fans out of the field Black Charm looks to have the right form and should win. —Wellington correspondent.
