(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent)

SYDNEY.

P. F. Hawthorne and J. Brass, the Australian Rugby inside backs against New Zealand in the 1967 Jubilee test at Wellington, will make their international Rugby league debuts together, in the first test against Great Britain at Brisbane on Saturday.

Former team-mates in the Randwick (Sydney) Rugby union first grade team. Hawthorne and Brass were also paired at stand-off half and inside centre, respectively, in the second test between the

This season he gained selection for the Sydney second XIII and then played in the inter-state series.

Brass last played for Australia at his former code in the first test against the All! Blacks in 1968. He joined! Eastern Suburbs at the end of that season but played ‘little football last year because of a broken leg. He has made a splendid come-back this season, cap-! taining the Eastern Suburbs first grade team. He also led New South Wales in his debut when an injury to J. W. Raper prevented the former Australian captain from playing in the first match against Queensland last month.
