Immunised

The Deputy Medical Officer of Health in Christchurch (Dr D. A. Andrews) said yesterday that 140 residents at the New Zealand Electricity Department works settlement at Lake Coleridge had been immunised against hepatitis recently after two reported cases there in the last month. He believed that it was the first time a whole community had been immunised against the disease. Dr Andrews said that the only reason the medical team went to Lake Coleridge was because secondary cases were appearing.
