(N.Z. Press Association)

PALMERSTON NORTH, June 1. A motor-cycle gang of about 70 youths ran riot in a Palmerston North fish shop on Saturday night after gatecrashing a party in Nash Street and barricading themselves in the house. Damage estimated at up to $l6O was caused in the Pioneer Fish Shop in Pioneer Highway, when the youths crowded their way into the shop.

According to the Palmerston North police they threw soft drink bottles against a wall and through the shop window.

A slot machine was wrenched off its wall fittings and a window was smashed in a neighbouring supermarket
