Radio Hauraki Ready For Listing

(N£w Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 27. An extraordinary general meeting of Radio Hauraki (N.Z.), Ltd, today passed amendments to the company’s articles, to clear their way for the company to apply for official listing.

The chairman and managing director (Mr D. J. Gapes) told the meeting that the company would be applying to the stock exchange for listing immediately. The stock exchange might require the company to make a call on shares making them fully paid, before listing is granted, he said. This call would not be before the appeal against the broadcasting warrant issued to the company was decided by the Supreme Court. This appeal is set down for June 16. Answering informal questions after the completion of business, he said that if the company’s warrant was up-

held by the Court transmission could possibly •start around September-December. He said that although the company was not in a position to place firm orders for any equipment at this stage, arrangements had been made for early delivery of some items once the decision of the Court was known. ' The company has already arranged advertising worth about $70,000, he said, in preparation for the start of transmission, if the company’s warrant was upheld. INDICES
