Compared with the May sale last year the average price at the Christchurch sale on May 18 was down by about 121 P® r cent The average for this month’s sale was 25.3521 c per lb, which was also slightly more than 1c below the average for the March sale. At this month’s sale 26,450 bales containing 9,101,1981 b of wool were sold for a total of $2,307,348.72. The average price per bale was $87.23.
