Dull Inquiry For Lamb j Moderate supplies of car- ! case meat were more than adequate for a very dull j inquiry on Smithfield market last week, the Meat Board reported. Increased pitchi ngs of New Zealand lamb met a poor inquiry from Tuesday on, leading to easy quotations which were largely unchanged from last week The main grade of New Zealand lamb (prime 29/36 lb) was quoted at 33d to 33 l-3d per lb, the same as last week.

Light pitchings of New Zealand mutton cleared i slowly. The main grade of I New Zealand hogget (49/56 : lb) was quoted at 23d per lb land wethers also at 23d per lb. Ewe mutton was quoted | at 19Jd to 20J d per lb. Price Range | Quotations for New Zeai land lamb were:—
