Zone Final Qualifiers Teams skipped by W. White and T. Austin won their way into the zone final of the Rothmans indoor bowls tournament, to be played at a later date tn Timaru.

This annual event, run by the Canterbury Indoor Bowls’ Association, attracted 88 fours of which 29 qualified for post-sec-tion play. Austin, last year’s Canterbury team captain, comfortably beat J. Woods to reach the final, and White (Linwood Avenue) also had an easy win.

In the final. White’s.four were too consistent for N. Burney’s team, while Austin’s four remained in front of the experienced Randall’s team throughout the game. Post-section results: R. Millar 13.
