Girl Killed

(N.Z Press Association) TIMARU, May 24. ! An 18-year-old Temuka girl was killed when the car in which she was a passenger overturned at a bend on the Arowhenua-Pleasant Point highway, near Temuka, about midnight on Saturday. She was Diane Lynette Green, a machinist, daughter of Mr and Mrs P. S. Green, of 31 Gammack Street, Temuka. Miss Green suffered head injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Timaru Hospital, where she was found to be dead on arrival. None of the other three young persons in the vehicle was seriously injured.
