SYMBOLIC NERVE-GAS “DIE-IN.”—Members of P.A.N.G. (People Against Nerve Gas) staging a symbolic “die-in” on a city street in Seattle. The demonstration was to dramatise the kind of disaster P.A.N.G. says might hit Seattle if an accident released nerve gas being shipping through the area from Okinawa to north-east Oregon for storage. Demonstrators sprawled on the street and footpaths and in their cars while police directed traffic round the area. Only about 50 spectators watched.
