FURTHER TESTS

(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE. A urine sample taken from the New Zealand-bred King Pedro at Flemington on May 9 has been retained for further investigation by the Australian Jockey Club analyst. This was announced yesterday by the chairman of the V.R.C. stipendiary stewards, Mr J. J. Ahern. Swabs were ordered to be taken from Peace Mission, and King Pedro, both last start winners, which finished unplaced in the 10 furlongs Koorlang Handicap. Peace Mission ' finished seventh and King Pedro eighth. Peace Mission's saliva and urine swabs were negative. King Pedro s saliva swab was also negative.
