OPEN GOLF RIVALS

The Freyberg Rose Bowl representatives, R. M. Farrant (Canterbury), and P. N. Conlon (Otago), and the former Rose Bowl player, E. H. M. Richards (Canterbury), head the list of entries for the Burnham open golf championship tomorrow. Other prominent golfers entered include A. Harvey (Southland), who is doing his military service at Burnham, and T., Wereta, the Combined Services and Army titleholder.

The tournament, which has attracted a total of 50 entries, will be played over 36 holes.

Atlanta Golf.—R. J. Charles (New Zealand) was on 70, five strokes behind the joint leaders, T. Weiskopf and H. Blancas, after the first round of the Atlanta golf tournament yesterday.
