Till Hat Club Anniversary
i ; The Christchurch R.S.A. ! Tin Hat Club celebrated its : twenty-fifth anniversary tat-; , too on Tuesday evening at a| function attended by several i hundred members. The chairman for the even- • ing, Mr L. W. Menzies, was ■ installed in office by the i immediate past president, Mr H. J. Walker. Mr Menzies was later made ! a life member of the Christ- ' church R.S.A. and a presentation gift was made to him.
The toast to the Christchurch R.S.A. Tin Hat Club was made by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr A. R. Guthrey) and the response was made by the Club President (Mr A. McGregor).
The tattoo ceremony was followed by the New Zealand National Anthem. Musical items were provided by the Hin Hat Club orchestra and the Christchurch Garrison Band, conducted by Mr D. Williams.•
