(N.Z. Press Association i ROTORUA. K. W. Lynn (Nelson) retained his one-point lead in the North Island chess championship yesterday. He beat R. Wayman (Kawerau), in the fourth round and drew with P. W. Stuart (North Shore) in the fifth.
League Upset.— ln a surprise result. Queensland won the inter-state Rugby league match against New South Wales, by 16-13, at Brisbane.
