Three Months Gaol Imposed

AUCKLAND, May 19. A 39-year-old hairdresser, Laszlo Frank Barchet, was sentenced to three months imprisonment when he appeared before Mr D. I. N. McLean, S.M., in the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court today on charges arising from the discovery by a young Pakuranga housewife of a microphone under her bed. Barchet, who was represented by Mr J. A. Faire, had earlier pleaded guilty to charges of wilfully damaging a floorboard to the value of $5, and unlawfully entering a building with intent to commit a crime.
