Girl Guide Camp
A .national eamp for 2500 girl guides will be held at the Tpmoana show grounds at Hastings from January 4 to January 14, next year. Girls from all parts of New Zealand will attend. Three hundred ranger guides will help run the programme.
At least 100 overseas' visitors from the United' States, Japan, Australia, add other Pacific countries will attend. The guides who attend the camp will be selected from 20,000 in the 19 guide provinces in New Zealand. hundred leaders, including the Chief Commissioner (Mrs W. J. Turnbull), will also be present.
League of Mothers.—Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Aranui-Wai-noiri League of Mothers were: president, Mrs W. van Vliet: secretary, Mrs J. Kiddey; treasurer, M?s,A. D. Parton; magazine secretary, Mrs S. J, Levett; committee, Mesdames R. Smith, M. Reij, J. Milne, P. Caress, and J. Fowler.
