Siffert (Switzerland) and B Redman (Britain) driving a Porsche, have won the i Francorchamps 1000-kilo-metre race counting for the world manufacturers’ championships. They covered 71 laps of the 8.8-mile circuit in 4hr 9min 47sec at an average 149.412 m.p.h. Second was the Ferrari 512 of J. Ickx (Belgium) and J. Surtees (Britain) almost one lap behind. Then came another Porsche 917, driven by V. Elford (Britain) and K. Ahrens( Germany).
