WELLINGTON, May 19.
The Seamen’s Union and the Union Steam Ship Company will meet on Monday to discuss an industrial agreement for the roll-on ships Hawea and Wanaka.
The ships, delayed because of a wage dispute, sailed today after the union, ordered the crew to take them to sea. The Shipowners’ Federation and the union today reached agreement on a new award for seamen which is expected to be ratified by the Arbitration Court later this week.
