Springfield Farm Sold

A 119-acre farmlet at Springfield was passed in for $235 an acre at a public auction yesterday, but was later sold privately for an undisclosed sum.

The property, offered on account of the estate of Ellen Robinson, was passed in first as a whole. Lot one consisting of 49 acres 1 rood situated on Pocock Road, one mile from Springfield, was then passed in at $215 an acre: and lot two, of 70 acres on Frasers Road, two miles from Springfield, was passed in at $250 an acre. About 16 persons attended the sale. The auctioneer was Mr W. O. Harrington, of the NMA Company of New Zealand, Ltd.
