NETBALL DAY

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. A “national netball day” will be held on June 20, the New Zealand Netball Association decided yesterday. Local associations will be asked .to hold sponsored games to raise money for the 1970-71 New Zealand team’s participation in the world tournament in Jamaica. The president (Mrs J. McCann) said the tour would ‘cost approximately $25,000, of which the association had only $15,000 in cash. The council agreed that local associations be levied on a team basis to make up the deficit
