No Further Bird Deaths (fi.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, May 12. Department of Agriculture officers in Hastings said today there had been no further I bird deaths in Hawke’s Bay attributable to the pesticide fensulfothion since those reported from Takapau last Last Thursday Mr W. H. I Kain, of the Ruakura Agri-: cultural Research Centre, said that bird deaths had been caused during trials with blue - coloured fensulfothion granules used for killing grass grubs over a 10-acre block at Takapau. A hundred magpies were killed.
