Farmers Boycott Cattle Markets

Cattle markets throughout England and Wales were either empty or closed today as farmers staged a oneweek boycott in protest at the Government’s recent agricultural price-review. At several major West; Country centres, such as! Hereford and Gloucester,! trade was either at a stand--1 still or minimal, while in Wales, 12 of the 18 markets were closed altogether. |
