Less Meat Produced

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 13. Export meat production fell by 27,863 tons in the first six months of the present season, compared with the corresponding period last season. The Meat Board said today that the decline was largely caused by the drought. During the first six months of the 1969-70 season export meat production was 407,218 tons. Beef and veal production increased by 18,782 tons, compared with the corresponding period last season. Lamb export production fell by 35.449 tons, and mutton production by 10,546 tons.
