ROTORUA, May 13. A barest minimum of 50 per cent in salary’ increases must be demanded for ail teachers, Mr P. L. Green, retiring president of the Bay of Plenty region of the Post Primary Teachers’ Association, said at Taupo today. “We need at least 50 per cent to restore us to the relativity we had with other professions and occupations before World War II and so that we may catch up with rising prices,” he said. Mr Green recommended { that teachers insist on this j 50 per cent salary increase; being received by the time ofi the association's national con-' ference in August. If it were: not received by that time the ~ association should take direct action, he said.
