Normal Work Resumed (N.Z Press Association/ MASTERTON, May 11. Freezing workers at Thomas Borthwick and Sons ;(A’sia), Ltd, Waingawa, re-i isumed normal work after a meeting in the Masterton Town Hall this morning with! union officials. The president of the Wei-' ling ton Freezing Workers’ Union (Mr F. B. Thorn) said , this morning that the question of deregistration had not , been discussed at the meet- , ing. , “Two proposals from the , company were put to the , meeting,” Mr Thorn said. “The first, a proposal to engage a firm of consultants to I, look into the whole situa-ij tion at the works, was re-|i jected by the shed because; 1 it would take too long.” Mr Thorn said the men had agreed to a second proposal I, that they should return to< work while a new contractH for freezing-hands was being i] negotiated. |i
