(N.Z. Press Association ) WELLINGTON. Hacanbay has returned a positive after winning the Ham-i mon Hurdles al the Marton; Jockey Club's meeting on April' 29. The positive was reported, to the New Zealand Racing Conference secretary (Mr A. R. Algie) by the conference’s ana-! lyst, the conference said yesterday. A five-year-old Hakiro gelding. Hacanbay is raced by D. B. and S. W. Vincent and is trained by the latter at Inglewood. Hacanbay won at Marton at odds of nearly 100 to one.

Appointments.—Mr F. J. Shadbolt (Hurunui) has been appointed manager of the Country Rugby team to tour the Seddon Shield districts in June. Mr A. Aldersley (Hurunui) has been appointed an under 20 selector and Mr G. P. Lennon (Waikari) an under 16 selector.
